Green Summer Smoothies

Green smoothies are a quick and simple way to get your daily serves of fruit and vegetables in. They’re great time savers and full of raw nutrients that are easy for the body to digest.

Gypsea fan, Isabella Ashleigh (who you may have already seen on our Instagram and Facebook posts), first started drinking green smoothies three months ago as part of a lifestyle change. The drinks helped provide much needed vitamins and minerals that made her feel healthier and more energetic.

Here are three green smoothie recipes you can make at home! All you need is a blender:

1. The Instant Energiser Smoothie
(Serves 1)
1/2 Carrot
1 Kiwi
1/2 Apple
1/2 block of frozen Spinach (about a table spoon
Splash of soy milk

2. The Extra Fibre Smoothie
(Serves 1)
1/2 banana
1 kiwi
1/4 pear
1/2 a block of frozen spinach (about a table spoon)
Splash of soy milk

3. The Superfood Smoothie
(Serves 1)
1 stick of celery
1/2 cucumber
1/4 avocado
1/4 pear
1 kiwi
1 teaspoon chia seeds
1 tablespoon vanilla protein powder
Squeeze of lemon
Splash of soy milk
